A black pencil skirt is one basic piece that every woman should have in their closet. But why not take it a notch higher & get one in leather. There is nothing basic about this one that I thrifted on Ebay because not only does it fit perfectly (not too tight & not too short) but it also has pockets 🙌🏾, yes you read it right, Pockets. This is a sculpture that consists of 14 capital letters spelling out the word 'Fundamentalism'. It is the work of 'Jens Galshiot' & is part of the dialog project 'The Children of Abraham' also by the same artist which was completed in 2015. The sculpture has 28 screens which display quotes from the Quran, the Christian Bible & the Jewish Torah. On the outside are 'good quotes' that express a humane approach to issues e.g. forgiveness, reconciliation, faith, Hope etc. While on the inside...

Happy New Year everyone, am finally back into the 'Blogging world' after a well deserved Christmass break with the family in Kenya. Who knew that finding a nice pair of flared pants in Fall/Winter on short notice would be so difficult. After spending almost half a day running around shopping malls & thift shops, I finally decided to make myself one. So, off I went to Karstadt where i got some Black Denim Fabric which i used to make these pants. I didn't even have time to finish off the hems because I was travelling to Berlin for an event (blogged about it here) but i actually loved the 'unfinished finish' look of them....
