Museums are opened again...Yippee! This is great news because I, just like many have missed viewing Art Exhibitions. The Ruhr Museum is a new type of regional Museum with an integrative concept which combines both natural & cultural history. It showcases the entire history of the Ruhrgebiet, from the formation of coal 300 Million years ago to the current structural change towards the Ruhr Metropolis. The 'Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg' is quite an interesting place to visit, with over 40 historical buildings which include farmhouses, Barns & workshops which are built in the same way as those between 1600 to the 1950's.
