Now that Spring has decided to play 'Hide & Seek' with this year, I guess that it's wise for us to also try & sneak in some color into our outfits. Of course we still have to keep ourselves warm but also try to brighten up the dark days that are still upon us.

We as women play a big role in shaping the future & that's why it's always nice to join together for such events where we not only get to celebrate the International Women's Day, but we also talk about the issues currently affecting us. A lot has improved where Women's rights is concerned especially here in Germany, but there is still more than needs to be done; Equal pay in the job market, Equal opportunities for both sexes in the process of job searching, Equal representation in politics,...

Another black & white combination that I like but with some pops of color to inspire you to pull out your classic white shirt for the day or even night out. The leopard print boots edged everything out while the 'dashiki' print headwrap ties the whole look together (notice what I did there :-))

If only my work week would start on such a high note every time. I won the 'Fashion Designer of the Year 2017' award at the African Women in Europe Award Ceremony that took place in Berlin on Saturday. I am still on 'Cloud 9' & so so grateful to God & to everyone who in one way or another have been with me on this amazing journey. This award is not only mine but for us all. Thank you all so much.

Who doesn't reach for their most comfortable piece of clothing that they own when the weather suddenly changes & temperatures drop? There's this stylish blogger that I love & whose style is such an inspiration to me, Sade Akinosho . She never fails to wow with her amazing outfits & when she had on this stylish tulle top, I fell in love with it & was almost ordering it from her online shop for myself (before my bank account put a stop to that line of thought)😜. A quick rummage through my 'Fabric stash' & I re-discovered this tulle fabric which was actually a wrong purchase that I had made at Mahler Stoffe...

A group of talented Kenyan musicians including 'Makadem' came together to put up an amazing African Jazz Concert at the Cafe Langes Mühle in Utersen which I had the pleasure of attending.

What do you when you have to an Event to go in the evening after work but have no time at all to change your outfit? Well, then you need to be creative; switch your casual shoes for heels, add some fancy socks to the mix, refreshen your make up & add a red lip & voila, you are ready go.

Finding a camel coat that was the perfect length that I wanted & which was affordable too turned out to be a major problem. So, I decided to make one myself which turned out quite cute especially when styled with this Gingham top that I made myself too. And now that the sunny & warmer side of Spring is taking it's sweet time to show up, I get a chance to rock my new coat now.
