It is a cold & windy day in November & am sharing pictures from my last holiday back in July, crazy I know! But I really need to see an image of myself somewhere warm & sunny, looking & feeling relaxed & at peace to remind myself that there are warmer days to come in future. Focus Flo, this dreary weather, dark days & equally dreary spirit will not last forever. We went to Pisa, Italy & stayed at this small & rustic hotel which was simply marvelous. We travelled...

Look who's back like they never left :). Am fine, & yes I have been keeping up with my reading, all over the place with the genres but the most important thing is that I have been reading. This review is like 3 months old & I have read about 20 more books since which I promise to review before the end of the year. But what is amazing is that I can still remember details of what happened in most of these books, even after such a long time. I love that!I love reading 😊. 'The...

'You don't have to know it all or even do it all but your HEART absolutely has to be in it.' I recently came across this quote online which was shared by the amazing 'Myleik' & it deeply resonated with me (just like most of the content that she shares does). Fear shows up everyday in our lives & even the slightest sight of it makes us stop suddenly in our tracks. It might be the fear of failure, of losing it all, of taking that first leap of faith, of not having everything figured out,...

'Instincts' is said to be the way people or animals naturally react or behave, without having to think or learn about it. This basically means that it has a lot to do with listening to your inner gut feeling, & then acting upon it. I was recently invited to a friend's Birthday Party whose theme was 'the Animal Print'. This was my first 'official' gathering with people outside of my immediate family & boy was I excited. My 'Animal Print' outfit which I had planned almost a year ago (the...

Museums are opened again...Yippee! This is great news because I, just like many have missed viewing Art Exhibitions. Online Museum visits just didn't cut it for me, just like online concerts & simply anything else that normaly invokes some passion in me, these unfortunately just didn't appeal to me at all. This was my last museum visit before we went into another lockdown last year & this is one that I really enjoyed. 'Peter Lindbergh' (deceased 2019) was a world renowned Fashion...

...so it continues, my short reviews (very short) of the books that I have read recently (and by recently, I mean in the last 3 months). And as always, it's all a 'mishy mashy' mix of different genres & even languages. Yes, I sneaked in a 'foreign language' book, foreign as in 'German' because in as much as I live in Germany, I mostly read English books & my Blog is still written in English. 'An American Marriage' is based on a young black American couple who due to a sudden turn of...

Why are you all over sudden acting so serious? How come you nowadays don't have time for us? How come we don't see much of you around here? Who's that person taking you away from us? What's with the new look, different hair & make up? What's with the new look? Are you sure you are ok? I mean you said that you are ok but you sound different? How come you don't communicate with us as you used to? What's going on with you that you are not telling us? Why are you always smiling? What are you...

Stop expecting my life to be easy. Life is not easy for everyone (well, not all the time anyway), we all experience major challenges & that does not mean that we are doing it wrong. Stop expecting myself to be able to manage more than I have the capacity to cope with. I need to learn to set boundaries not only for others but for myself too. Learn to stop taking on too much & reacting in shock or shame when I can't do it all. I literally don't need to do it all, nobody does. Stop...

I could list 100 reasons why you & I should buy local & support small businesses but of course me being a black & female entrepreneuer makes my opinion totally biased. But even so, I still feel like it's my obligation to remind us all of some of the reasons to 'buy small & local', not only now, but every single day;

This compilation of the books that I have read recently looks just as jumbled up as my interests in life generally. With each passing day, I try out new things & experience different interests, fall in love with new ones & lose interest (pun intended) in old ones. I had planned on arranging the books nicely in their respective categories (Fiction, Finance, Romance) but I just can't be bothered. This is just the order in which they find themselves. Here is a short summary; and PS: I have...
