This is me heading out to my Work's Christmas Party. Only that there's no 'Work Christmas Party' because I work alone & that is not my real hair:-). But if there was ever such a party, this is how I would show up because this outfit sums up my personality (mixing business with pleasure), always ready for business but also full of fun & energy.

The sun is shining, it's getting warmer, am getting darker by the day & have no interest at all in wearing tight-fitted jeans. Mom jeans, boyfriend jeans & straight leg jeans are my thing at the moment, combined with summery tops & accessories & I am ready for this 'early summer'.

February which in my view is the month of love is here with us & we have a reason to wear lots of red. This is one of my favorite red sweaters (only one actually) & it has been in my closet for almost 5 years. It is a trusty piece in my wardrobe that I can always rely on to brighten up any dull outfit.

Thrifting always feels like a treasure hunt for me because I never know what am going to find, which make the experience even more exciting. And just like every treasure hunt, there are times that you come out empty handed but of course there are also days that are pretty successful. This whole look is a combination of some of my successful finds that have found a happy place in my wardrobe which will make regular appearances on my Blog, as evident here & here.

A black pencil skirt is one basic piece that every woman should have in their closet. But why not take it a notch higher & get one in leather. There is nothing basic about this one that I thrifted on Ebay because not only does it fit perfectly (not too tight & not too short) but it also has pockets 🙌🏾, yes you read it right, Pockets. This is one piece that you can style in so many ways which I wanted to share them with you. Check out the Lookbook that I made showing the 4 ways...

''Let's Wrap things up'' is the most befitting advice that I always try to give my brain because it somehow never stops coming up with new ideas. And no, am not complaining about the fact that creativity runs in my blood, but sometimes I think it gets a bit out of hand. For example, after a long work day at work, then coming home & taking care of the family, I just want to lie on the sofa & simply chill out. Not plan anything, write down any new ideas, think about my next blogpost, come...

Who knew that finding a nice pair of flared pants in Fall/Winter on short notice would be so difficult. After spending almost half a day running around shopping malls & thift shops, I finally decided to make myself one. So, off I went to Karstadt where i got some Black Denim Fabric which i used to make these pants. I didn't even have time to finish off the hems because I was travelling to Berlin for an event (blogged about it here) but i actually loved the 'unfinished finish' look of them....

Nothing says 'Weekend ready' more than a pair of distressed Boyfriend jeans like the one that I shared with you on this previous DIY post & a simple white tshirt. Jeans & a tshirt is one of the most basic combinations which you can syle up or down to fit your mood or whichever occassion that you are dressing up for .I decided to add a Tweed blazer, Faux fur stole, a Chanel inspired bag & some heels to dress it up a bit, something that I woud wear to a lunch, movie date or drinks...

'Swing' is a form of American music that was popular in the 1930's & 1940's. The name 'Swing' originates from the 'swing feel' where the emphasis is on the off-beat or weaker pulse in the music. The 'Swing Dance Orchestra' led by Andrej Hermlin performed live in Hamburg last week at the Laeiszhalle & I was honoured to have attended it. This was my first time to ever attend a concert with this genre of music so i did not know what to expect, but i have to admit that i was floored by the...

It was an exciting & inspiring evening dedicated to the creative & cultural exchange between Africa & Germany. A forum of guests took part in the discussion led by Judith Helfmann-Hundack (Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft e.V.) & these included Onejiru Schindler (Musician, Member of the Board of Viva ConAgua), Julia Grosse (Journalist, Founder Contemporary And), Dr Andreas Görgen (Director General for Culture & Communication, Federal Foreign Office), Roland Göhde...
