Merry Christmass to you all! I hope that you are doing well doing this festive season, enjoying the break & peace with your loved ones during this special season. Just wanted to share with you this outfit that I wore to the only Christmass party that I attended this year which was held an acquintance's house. I decided to go for a very simple look with this pre-loved black Zara dress that I had thrifted back in summer & spruced it up a bit with one of my favourite neckpieces, a gift...

Looks who's back! Hi guys! It feels strange typing here, strange but somehow nice, like reconnecting with an old friend after parting ways. You've both changed with time & don't know how to start all over again, but there's a certain feeling of anticipation that comes with experiencing fun & new things together. You both still have fond memories of how good it feels when you are together but at the same time you want to take time to get to know each other again. Somehow like trying to...

I think that I am experiencing a 'Writer's Block' at the moment, not because I am at a loss of words or that I don't have anything to write about (knowing myself, that is almost impossible), but it's because my mind, emotions & feelings are completely in jumbles at the moment. So instead of writing something that makes absolutely no sense to you guys, I thought that it would be better for me to take a step back, re-examine myself & use the chance to re-introduce myself to you & also...

How do you go about trying out new things, trends or adventures? Do you try them out cautiously or are you the type that goes all in at once? In my case it really depends on what it is, for example the 'Snake Print trend' that we have seen all over in the last couple of seasons. In my opinion this trend is not really a classic for me, so as with all such, I choose not to invest a lot on it. On the contrary , this is where I scour Ebay & thrift stores to find gently-worn pieces to add to my...

What's the first assumption that you make when you see me (online or in person)?..... Many people are surprised that I am not as tall as I look in my photos. 'Objects may appear bigger/taller than they really are...' That probably has to do with the angle at which my photos are taken because I have never claimed to be tall at all. Or is it the outfits that I tend to wear, like this striped look, you know how vertical lines have a way of making you look like 'Naomi Campbell' :) Oh, & another...

'Not every opportunity or person that knocks on your door should be let in.' I read this quote somewhere some time back & funnily enough it is only now that am really getting its meaning. At times you pray & actually wish that a certain opportunity should come your way & the excitement that you feel when this happens is unbelievable. But for some crazy reason, you miss the right time to grab the opportunity & you sadly have to watch it slip way. And after going through the '5...

Today is Valentine's Day (Yeeeeaaaah), & a very special day for a hopeless romantic like me. Who else wears red religiously on Valentines Day, or at least tries to? Well, I am guilty as charged, no 14th of February since I can remember has ever gone by without me putting on something red & I have enough eveidence to support that claim, here, here, here & here & here :-). And even when the weather is sometimes so tricky, that's where red accessories come in, like this amazing red...

Uneven grounds just like uneven hemlines must be cleverly tackled. Pieces of clothing with Asymmetrical hemlines can be tricky to pull off but when done correctly, I think they bring out the fun in every single outfit. And that tactic also applies in life when you find yourself on uneven grounds; you have to be very careful when planning on your next move. You either tread very carefully or you don't make a single move & stay safe (something I often find myself doing). A very cowardly...

3 guesses what the blog title is about....Hint Hint (Far East Asia & East Africa)! One of the fashion trends in the last seasons has been 'Asian Inspired' & it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Such pieces are characterized by their ornate detailing with today's designers adding their own contemporary spin to it. The runways & stores were full with Chinese-inspired silhouettes in colorful florals adorned with embroidery, feathering, mandarin collars, contrasting binding & silk...
