The 'Freilichtmuseum am Kiekeberg' is quite an interesting place to visit, with over 40 historical buildings which include farmhouses, Barns & workshops which are built in the same way as those between 1600 to the 1950's. There are several events that are held at the Museum & on this day, there was a big 'Tractor Show' where several Tractors were on display. Am not such a big fan of machines & locomotives but Hubby & my son were in heaven to see all the tractors. The museum is...

A pair of black denim & a white button down is quite a timeless outfit that we get to wear almost everyday, especially if you work in a casual work environment. But adding a cami on top, a few accessories & some strappy sandals make the outfit a bit more interesting & can possibly take you from the office to an evening event.

Who knew that finding a nice pair of flared pants in Fall/Winter on short notice would be so difficult. After spending almost half a day running around shopping malls & thift shops, I finally decided to make myself one. So, off I went to Karstadt where i got some Black Denim Fabric which i used to make these pants. I didn't even have time to finish off the hems because I was travelling to Berlin for an event (blogged about it here) but i actually loved the 'unfinished finish' look of them....

'Patriotism is love for country. But you can't love your country without loving your countrymen & countrywomen. We don't always have to agree, but we must empower each other, we must find the common ground, we must build bridges across our differences to pursue the common good.'...Cory Anthony Booker Someone once siad that a 'Patriot' is one who shouts the loudest without knowing what he is shouting about. This typically defines me when watching Kenyans take part in any sport competition,...

Nothing says 'Weekend ready' more than a pair of distressed Boyfriend jeans like the one that I shared with you on this previous DIY post & a simple white tshirt. Jeans & a tshirt is one of the most basic combinations which you can syle up or down to fit your mood or whichever occassion that you are dressing up for .I decided to add a Tweed blazer, Faux fur stole, a Chanel inspired bag & some heels to dress it up a bit, something that I woud wear to a lunch, movie date or drinks...

Situated on Fuhlsbüttler straße 460 here in Hamburg is a charming little Fabric shop filled with the most amazing Ankara fabrics which are either made in Africa or from the Vlisco brand in Holland. The Fabrics are of high quality & is the reason why i often buy my fabrics from there. 'Swing' is a form of American music that was popular in the 1930's & 1940's. The name 'Swing' originates from the 'swing feel' where the emphasis is on the off-beat or weaker pulse in the music. The 'Swing Dance Orchestra' led by Andrej Hermlin performed live in Hamburg last week at the Laeiszhalle & I was honoured to have attended it. This was my first time to ever attend a concert with this genre of music so i did not know what to expect, but i have to admit that i was floored by the...

The trench coat is one of Fall's must-have piece of outerwear that is not only a timeless classic but also never really goes out of style. It can be found in many styles & colours & there is definately a coat for everyone's taste. Black, camel & grey are the most common colour choices but why not make a statement with a printed trench coat, like this Khanga one from our latest Collection. And when you find a nice one like this, why not make it work double duty & wear it as a...

Denim jackets are currently all over runways, Fashion magazines & on social media, but with embellishments such as embroidery & interesting patches. I have been, as any fashion lover been consumed with the desire to own one, but the reality is that they come at a price, a very high one most of the time. And so I began my search for patches & the perfect denim jacket (which i got off Ebay). All sorts of patches can be found on Ebay, Amazon & Etsy, but because i didn't have much...

It was an exciting & inspiring evening dedicated to the creative & cultural exchange between Africa & Germany.
